Hat-trick for Cieślewicz as TNS Hit Seven Past Cardiff Met

TNS continued their unbeaten run as they put seven goals past a deflated Cardiff Met side at Cyncoed campus.

Adrian Cieslewicz scored a hat-trick as Cardiff Met struggled to deal with the intensity of the team from Oswestry.

The win sees TNS sit four points clear at the top of the table, having won five out of seven games so far. Cardiff Met drop to third in the table on goal difference, as Caernarfon beat Haverfordwest 2-1.

The Saints went 1-0 up in the 7th minute through Ryan Brobbel’s volley, before a Declan McManus finish made it 2-0 at the 30 minute mark. Cieslewicz scored his first goal of the match just 5 minutes later, after slotting the ball past Alex Lang from close range. 3-0 at half time.

Met started the second half promisingly, creating a few chances and forcing Connor Roberts into making a decent save. However, TNS’ fourth goal came in the 58th minute with Cieslewicz finishing past Lang for the second time after a smart counter.

Things only got worse for Ryan Jenkins’ side as McManus poked the ball past an oncoming Lang to make it 5-0 after an hour of play. Cieslewicz completed his hat-trick through an unmissable tap-in after a poorly defended corner. The final nail came in a similar fashion as Ryan Astles’ header couldn’t be kept out by Alex Lang.
